Joseph Drouhin Gevrey Chambertin les Cazetiers 1er Cru 2019 (750ML)

Gevrey-Chambertin les Cazetieres 1er Cru is considered to be one of the region’s most prestigious vineyards. It lies next to Clos Saint Jacques but whereas Clos Saint Jacques has 5 owners whose land runs up and down the vineyard parallel to each other, the owners of Cazetieres have parcels distributed throughout the vineyard. Cazetieres also has one of the highest elevations of any vineyard, about 50 meters higher than Clos de Beze. If you were to compare the fruit profile of Clos Saint Jacques versus Cazetieres, you would note that the former has more red fruit and often higher acidity, where as the latter boasts more black fruit, and higher PH which often makes for earlier drinking.
