Some oak spice on the nose here but also some fruit sweetness, quite unusual, again something like wheat beer, dried grasses. Creamy texture and more citrus purity on the palate than in the Meursault Perrières. Tight and bright on the finish. (JH) Jancisrobinson.com
Tasting note: There is a touch of olive oil on the ripe and mildly exotic nose that features notes of melon, pear, apple compote and plenty of floral wisps. I like the mouth feel of the solidly concentrated and tautly muscular flavors that exude a subtle minerality on the lengthy finish. I would note that there is a hint of acid tang though I suspect it will dissipate with a few years of bottle age and my rating assumes that will occur. Outstanding – Allen Meadows – Burghound
Apricot, melon, apple and buttered pastry flavors mark this juicy, ripe white. Citrus and spice accents emerge on the lingering finish. Drink now through 2025. 300 cases imported. — BS – Wine Spectator
