A highlight this year is the 2019 Marsannay Les Ouzeloy, a lovely wine that opens in the glass with notions of cassis, plums, sweet berries and licorice. Tasting note: Soft wood frames the spicier aromas of dark currant, black raspberry and discreet whiffs of spice and earth. The slightly sleeker medium-bodied flavors also possess an appealing mid-palate texture that culminate in a naturally sweet if very firm, compact and equally serious finale.
