The 2022 La Cabanne is deep garnet-purple in color. It gives up profound notes of licorice, charcoal, tapenade, and tilled soil with a core of stewed black plums and boysenberries. The 2022 Château La Cabanne showed well, with a red and blue-fruited profile as well as some classic flora, violets, and darker chocolate-like, Merlot-dominated nuances. Medium to full-bodied, this round, lush, nicely textured Pomerol has just a kiss of the firmer, aggressive tannins that can be common in the vintage.
