La Distesa Nocenzio IGT Marche Rosso 2020 (750ML)

The tradition of red wines in Cupramontana included the blending of different grapes and short maceration times.

It is a blend of Sangiovese and Montepulciano from different parcels, all in Cupramontana. The most important of these is a small plot planted in 1973 at the end of Contrada Valle, suspended in wilderness. Here emerge white, calcareous and chalky marl (Schlier Formation – Miocene Epoch). 

It is vinified without sulfur in wood casks with a good amount of whole grape clusters. The fermentation finishes in steel tanks. It is an agile red wine but not at all banal, to be consumed fresh and in large gulps.
