2020 La Fleur Morange - 94+ JD
Ripe black cherries, currants, chocolaty oak, spice, and iron nuances all emerge from the 2020 Château La Fleur Morange, a richly textured, concentrated 2020 with building tannins and a great finish. It has plenty of opulence and density but enough tannins to warrant 4-5 years of bottle age. It's another terrific wine from this estate that's located down on the lower plains of Saint-Emilion. - Jeb Dunnuck

2019 La Fleur Morange - 95 JA
Highly spiced on the attack, plenty of bright berry fruits underneath, this is enjoyable. Silky tannins, intense and concentrated but with a sense of fun. Totally living up to its En Primeur promise, this has so much nuance and succulence - gorgeous mix of concentrated berry fruits and lilting violet and rosebud notes. Low yield of 20hl/ha - Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux

2016 La Fleur Morange - 97 JD
This tiny estate located down on the lower plain continues to produce a powerful, opulent style of wine. Their 2016 La Fleur Morange is another beauty, boasting full-bodied richness and serious concentration go with a monster bouquet of crème de cassis, spring flowers, rose petals, and ample sandy, loamy soil notes. It has some oak to integrate, a stacked mid-palate, beautiful tannins, and an awesome finish. Hats off to proprietors Jean François and Véronique Julien and consultant Claude Gros for a brilliant Saint-Emilion. Give bottles 2-4 years and enjoy over the following two decades. The blend is 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc brought up in new 500-liter barrels. - Jeb Dunnuck

2015 La Fleur Morange - 96+ JD
Coming from 100-year-old vines and 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc, the 2015 Château La Fleur Morange is a downright stunner that does everything right. Cassis, crushed flowers, lead pencil shavings and lots of minerality all flow to a full-bodied, elegant, incredibly layered 2015 that has a great mid-palate, sweet tannin and a great, great finish. This is an incredible Saint-Emilion readers should do whatever they can to latch onto a few bottles. This cuvee is also made with guidance from Claude Gros, and he’s certainly hit a home run with this one. - Jeb Dunnuck

2014 La Fleur Morange - 93 JS
Tight and focused red with plum, currant and light vanilla character. Medium to full body, silky tannins and a flavorful finish. Just a hint of new wood on the finish. Give it time to come together more in the bottle. Try drinking in 2019. - James Suckling

2012 La Fleur Morange - 92 JS
A firm and flavorful wine with chocolate, toasted oak, coffee and berry character. Full body, chewy tannins and a savory finish. A little bitter on the finish but this will come out nicely. Better in 2016. - James Suckling
