Blackcurrant, blueberry, chocolate, and walnut aromas follow through to a full body with creamy and layered tannins that are linear and fresh. Fine texture. - James Suckling
Likely to be the last vintage of La Fleur Peyrabon, as it will be included in Lynch Moussas going forward, so one to look out for if you are a fan of this good value Pauillac. Expect intense black fruits, plenty of Pauillac character, maybe a little drying on the finish, but this is enjoyable, with signature crayon and eucalyptus. Harvest September 8 to 27. Owned by the Casteja family since June of this 2022 vintage, 35hl/h yields. - Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux
Taught and fresh, tannins are fleshy and upfront, filling the mouth with grippy but well-worked tannins with a texture of chalk and grape skins against cool blue fruit flavours and some salty touches with dark chocolate. On the more serious, sombre side, quite tense and compact but nice purity and detail with definition. Still a little bit shy towards the finish but this has a nice style and ease about it, with a good depth of fruit, mouthwatering acidity and touches of chalky saltiness. Tasted twice. HVE certified. - Georgina Hindle, Decanter
The 2022 La Fleur Peyrabon is a blend of 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, and 13% Petit Verdot. Deep garnet-purple in color, it has a nose of ripe blackcurrants, juicy blueberries, and graphite, with hints of cardamom and clove oil. The medium-bodied palate is taut with muscular black fruit, framed by firm tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing with a spicy kick. - Lisa Perrotti-Brown, Wine Inependent
