The 2018 La Fleur Vivaltus is 100% Tempranillo sourced from Ribera del Duero. A dark garnet-red in the glass. The nose presents plum and sour cherry notes, complemented by thyme and delicate woody undertones. The palate is dry and creamy, with fine, reactive tannins and a juicy flow leading to a bold but delicate, long-lasting finish full of fruity flavor. A nuanced red. - JH, Vinous Media
“The second wine of Vivaltus is pretty impressive in its own right. Deceptively supple and easy to drink, it's a beautifully judged, harmonious cuvée of Tinto Fino with 3% Cabernet Sauvignon, showing aromas and flavours that have as much to do with Right Bank Bordeaux as they do with Ribera. Subtly wooded, sculpted and refreshing, it has fine oak, caressing tannins, green herb and red fruit flavours and plenty of balancing acidity. 2023-30” - Tim Atkin
“Savoury spiced plum, smoked cedar and soft raspberry, this is the most successful La Fleur VivaltuS of the three vintages I have so far tasted since its arrival on La Place de Bordeaux. Plenty of mouthwatering salinity and grip through the palate.” - Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux
“The 2018 La Fleur Vivaltus has some similarities with the 2016, but the 2016 is now more expressive and open and the 2018 still feels young, a bit shy and undeveloped. It hasvery good freshness and elegance and is floral and perfumed, but it should develop more perfume with more time in bottle. It's medium to full-bodied, and the tannins are fine-grained.” - Luis Gutiérez, Wine Advocate
