A serious white with waxed lemon, stone, flint, cedar and lemon grass. Medium-bodied, very fine and fresh. Tight, too. Mineral finish. - James Suckling

The 2021 La Garde Blanc was picked September 6–21, the fruit cooled before transferring into barrels of various sizes, with 8 months aging on the lees. It has a straightforward but pleasant bouquet of lime flower, grapefruit and a touch of orange pith. The palate is well balanced, taut and fresh, with fine acidity, the 15% new oak a discreet guiding hand. Good weight and length, and the terroir comes through nicely. - Neal Martin, Vinous Media
