The 2019 La Louvière Blanc is well-defined on the nose, featuring scents of green apple, nettle and pear and a touch of melted wax. The palate is well balanced, taut and fresh, with a fine line of acidity and nicely integrated oak. The finish feels understated yet supplies just the right amount of bitterness. Excellent. - Neal Martin, Vinous Media
Aromas of sliced apple, fennel, papaya, flint and lemon curd. It’s medium-to full-bodied with a zesty, rich and layered palate. Hints of spice on the vibrant finish.- James Suckling
Showing wood-aging flavors as well as crisp citrus and kiwi flavors, this ripe wine is pure Sauvignon Blanc. It will age, giving a perfumed wine ready to drink from 2023. - Roger Vos, Wine Enthusiast
Bottled under Diam 30, the 2019 La Louvière Blanc wafts from the glass with discreetly reductive aromas of nectarine, citrus oil and subtle botanicals. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and incisive, it's deep and layered, with tangy acids and a long, mouthwatering finish. - William Kelley, Wine Advocate
The nose on the 2019 La Louviere Blanc is a little closed to begin, soon unfurling to offer glimpses of preserved lemons, lime leaves, and sliced apples with wafts of wet pebbles and hay. Crisp, medium-bodied, there are lots of mineral accents to the vibrant citrus and apple flavors, finishing long and lifted. - Lisa Perrotti-Brown, Wine Independent
Juicy, bright fruits, easy to drink, touch of apple blossom and citrus, good scrape of salinity on the finish. A yield of 48hl/ha. Jacques Lurton has taken over from his late father André from this vintage, and we can expect this wine to gain in focus and character over the next few years. Tasted twice. - Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux
Bright citrus, lemon zest, and orange blossom notes all emerge from the 2019 Château La Louvière Blanc, a nicely textured, medium-bodied, fruit-forward white with notable purity as well as length. It brings fruit, texture, and richness in a vibrant, classy package geared for drinking over the coming 3-5 years. - Jeb Dunnuck
Tasted blind. Mid gold. Some oak and Sémillon richness on the nose. Be warned if you don’t like oak but this wine is fun and distinctively bordeaux as opposed to A N Other Sauvignon. Just a little heat on the end worries me a bit.-Jancis Robinson
