Pale to medium lemon-yellow colored, the 2021 La Tour Blanche comes galloping out with bold notes of pineapple tart, apricots, and honeydew melon with hints of yuzu zest, lemon curd, allspice, and a touch of honeycomb. The palate is intense and racy, with so many citrus and tropical fruit layers, supported by a decadently oily texture and fantastic freshness, finishing long and exotic. Residual sugar around 130 g/l. - Lisa Perrotti-Brown, Wine Independent
Yum. Intense aromas and flavors of apricot, lemon zest and spices, as well as mangoes and dried tropical fruit. Yet, it’s tight and and very sweet, with beautiful depth and length. - James Suckling
The 2021 La Tour Blanche has a well-defined nose, not as complex as its peers, with touches of wax and peach skin. The palate is well balanced with fine acidity, fresh and taut, fine definition. Yet, La Tour Blanche lacks a bit of weight and concentration on the finish. - Neal Martin, Vinous Media.
Sweet nectarine and peach puree on the attack, with touches of butterscotch through the mid palate, unbalanced in its acidities although rich and concentrated in texture. - Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux
Cask sample. Opulent with both green notes of acidity and rich, ripe notes of superbly botrytised fruit. A hint of crème brûlée. Still very youthful but with all the right ingredients packed away. - Jancis Robinson
