A lovely wine, with a pleasant, lemon-accented apple fruit. The texture is silky and fine, yet there is enough substance that the wine lingers attractively on the finish. Picking started on the 22nd August at this 0.23ha parcel at the top of the slope. The vines are gently pressed and Lafarge has used a vertical press to reinforce the minerality.--Charles Curtis MW, Decanter

A strong effort from the hillside, the 2020 Beaune 1er Cru Clos des Aigrots Blanc evokes notions of citrus zest, crisp yellow orchard fruit, white flowers and toasted almonds. Medium to full-bodied, ample and satiny, its generous mid-palate is girdled by bright acids and chalky structuring extract. It's a benchmark for the appellation.--William Kelley, The Wine Advocate
