Gorgeous fruit in this, with plum, blackberry and some chocolate and hazelnut, Medium-bodied. Very fine tannins. Very well done. Balanced. 92% merlot and 8% cabernet franc. - James Suckling
The 2022 Laforge is made from 92% Merlot and 8% Cabernet Franc. This is the tete de cuvee of Teyssier, mainly a selection of the best parcels. Deep garnet-purple in color, it needs a little swirling to unlock notes of boysenberry preserves, baked plums, and raspberry leaves, followed by suggestions of smoked meats, cumin seed, garrigue, and black olives. The medium to full-bodied palate has beautifully ripe fine-grained tannins and seamless freshness supporting the elegant fruit layers, finishing long and fragrant. pH 3.73. - Lisa Perrotti-Brown, Wine Independent
The 2022 Laforge offers up succulent dark cherry, plum, spice, leather and tobacco. This sumptuous, racy Saint-Émilion has a ton to offer in a forward, racy style that is quite appealing. The 2022 is a fine Laforge. - Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media
From vines near Monbousquet, the 2022 Château Laforge is based on 92% Merlot and 8% Cabernet Franc that's aging in 80% new French oak. It's another delicious, layered, textured Saint-Emilion offering ample red and black cherry fruits, some dried herb and chocolate nuances, medium to full body, ripe, chalky tannins, and a great finish. - Jeb Dunnuck
