A successful effort, the 2021 Lanessan exhibits aromas of cassis, pencil shavings and loamy soil, followed by a medium to full-bodied, lively and supple palate that's fleshy and enveloping, framed by powdery tannins and bright acids. I suspect this estate could aim even higher, but they have produced an attractive 2021. Tasted three times. - William Kelley, Wine Advocate

The 2021 Lanessan has an attractive nose with pretty, floral black fruit with hints of cedar. The palate is well balanced and cohesive, good substance with a grippy finish. Not a complex Lanessan, but it has presence and old school charm. - Neal Martin, Vinous Media
