The 2021 Laroze is a very fine, elegant wine. Crushed rose petal, mint, blood orange, spice, mocha, new leather and bright saline notes all run through this sculpted, chiseled Saint-Émilion. The blend is 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Classy. - Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media

This is good, has plenty of dark fruit character, on the cool side but well handled with careful and enjoyable sappy tannins. Elegant and finessed, if a little tight in its tannins, reflective of the cooler growing season. 55% new, 35% in vats, 10% amphora. 37ha on clay loam slopes, owned by the Meslin family owners, Jean Philippe Fort and Hubert de Bouard consultants.- Jane Anson
