Sweet blackberry fruit from the first nose, intense tannic structure with lovely depth and grip. Excellent precision that doesn't take away from the flesh of the fruit. If you are not yet on board with the changes happening at Le Prieuré, this could be a good time to discover it. Fourth year under Artemis Domaines. A yield of 49hl/ha. - Jane Anson, Decanter

The 2019 Le Prieuré has an extremely perfumed, floral bouquet with whole bunches of violets bursting from the glass with incense and crushed blueberries. I find it a bit...trop. The palate is medium-bodied with more restraint than the nose: lightly spiced red fruit mixed with sea salt and crushed stone notes, the terroir coming through finally on the finish. It's a decent Saint-Émilion but it needs more focus. - Neal Martin, Vinous Media
