All assembled. Clear fresh bright colour, the nose is reticent but appealing. There is excellent weight of fruit in the mouth, just enough tension, medium plus bodied, lovely texture to this, very good wine. Jasper Morris – Inside Burgundy
Apple, lemon cake and honey flavors mark this ripe yet tightly wound style, which is balanced and full of energy, finishing with a mix of fruit, stone and spice notes. Drink now through 2024. 2,250 cases made, 322 cases imported. — BS – Wine Spectator
Tasting note: A discreet application of wood easily allows the aromas of acacia blossom, lavender, citrus and the essence of white-fleshed fruit to be appreciated. The caressing and quite refined flavors exude a subtle salinity on the refreshing, firm and sneaky long finale. This should make for a very fine villages with a few years of cellaring. Outstanding – Burghound
Tasted from bottle, Leflaive's 2016 Puligny-Montrachet Village is showing well, wafting from the glass with a fragrant bouquet of pink grapefruit, white peach and spring flowers, complemented by a delicate touch of citrus blossom on the upper register. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, with a glossy attack, good depth and concentration and a bright but open-knit, charming core, concluding with an elegantly saline finish. The wine's aromatic exotica mark it out as a product of its vintage, but it's a classy Puligny Village from this important domaine. William Kelley – The Wine Advocate
