A very pure, bright and crisp white with notes of fennel, green apples, limes and nettles. White pepper and stones, too. Medium-bodied and very fresh with a stony, mineral finish. Salty. 65% sauvignon and 35% semillon. Second wine of Domaine de Chevalier - James Suckling

The 2021 L'Esprit de Chevalier Blanc has tightly wound scents of pressed white flowers, orange blossom and a touch of citrus peel, all delivered with very fine delineation. Pear, red apple and lemon zest as well as grapefruit and satsuma - this is really fruity and alive on the palate, so much fun and freshness but also harmony and serenity. It's well worked and balanced, not too sharp or sour just gentle. I like the styling here, feels purposeful and delicious. Easy to appreciate with texture and structure.
