Not especially deep in colour, but the nose is rather fine, the elegance of Volnay, less demonstrative on the palate, with medium intensity of the strawberry, cherry fruit. Fair length. A wine of finesse rather than power. Drink from 2030-2036. Tasted: November 2023.—Japer Morris, Inside Burgundy

Tasting note: A fresh, pure and relatively high-toned nose is comprised of wild red currant, soft spice, rose petal and an agreeably subtle hint of wood. The sense of refinement continues onto the equally pure and well-detailed medium weight flavors that possess a beautifully textured mouthfeel, all wrapped in a persistent finish that is firm but not so much so that this could not be approached young. With that said, this could use better depth so at least a few years of keeping would be my recommended approach. Outstanding.—Allen Meadows, Burghound
