Tasting note: A brooding but quite pretty and elegant nose timidly reveals its array of essence of red currant, soil and lovely floral wisps. The middle weight flavors are not quite as dense but nonetheless there is both fine power and delineation to the strikingly long finish that is a bit less austere than it usually is, which is all the more surprising given how structured it is. The 2020 Chambertin Grand Cru (Maison Louis Jadot) is a real success this year, and one of the high points of the négociant side of the portfolio.
