Tasting note: Pretty and appealingly layered aromas consist of freshly sliced pear and apple along with hints of citrus zest, mineral reduction and a hint of ocean spray character. The rich and relatively full-bodied flavors possess fine mid-palate volume thanks to the abundant dry extract that buffers the moderately firm acid spine shaping the powerful finish where the intensity seems to build as it lingers. The 2022 Chablis Vaulorent 1er Cru has a perfumed bouquet of yellow flowers intermixed with crushed limestone and light flinty scents. This is very well-defined and focused. The palate is well-balanced with a fine bead of acidity, harmonious and elegant, with a dab of lemongrass towards the lightly pithy, persistent finish.
