Bright dark red. Perfumed, mineral-driven aromas of raspberry, cherry, marzipan and fresh blood. Wonderfully suave and detailed, with intense red fruit flavors framed and carried by salty minerality. This classic, rather old-fashioned Pommard finishes very long, with medicinal minerality and serious tannic spine. It's likely to be a long ager. Stephen Tanzer – Vinous Mediav
A wonderfully fresh nose reflects notes of relatively high-toned nose of red cherry, earth and a wide range of floral elements. There is fine richness, density and power to the palate coating flavors that display plenty of minerality on the balanced and lingering finish. This is relatively refined in the context of what is typical for Rugiens thanks to the firm but fine-grained tannins. - Allen Meadows, Burghound
