A soft touch of wood sets off clean, pure and refined aromas of citrus, stone and dried white rose scents. While there is plenty of minerality on the focused medium-bodied flavors, this is unusually one-dimensional at present though I do like the balance and the obvious classiness of the mouth feel. Caillerets is one of the great 1ers of Chassagne so there is every reason to believe that this may add depth with time in bottle but readers should view my score as offering several points in terms of benefit of the doubt. -Allen Meadows, Burghound
