The 2018 Marsau is 100% Merlot, with a yield of 10 hl/ha. Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, it explodes from the glass with a shower of Morello cherries, red roses, black raspberries, and licorice scents, plus hints of wild sage and lavender. Medium to full-bodied, the palate delivers mouth-coating black fruits with velvety tannins and amazing tension, finishing long and fragrant. - Lisa Perrotti-Brown, Wine Independent

2018 was a landmark year for Marsau as Mathieu and Anne-Laurence decided to take, that year, the path of organic agriculture, a resolute choice. As a consequence and because of a very wet spring, Mildew destroyed most part of the crop but, fortunately, not all of it. Even though the 2018 Marsau is in extremely short supply, vines produced a great and unique wine – an essential one which is a huge source of energy, brilliance, depth and sensuality.

Considering their grueling journey through this vintage, Mathieu and Anne-Laurence felt duty bound to mark the 2018 vintage with only the finest artwork. Three striking works in total, by Ronan Bouroullec who is one of the most famous and renowned French designer. In both fields (design and winemaking), there are shapes, mate­rials, sense and senses. In both spheres, creativity. In both lifelong pursuits, the search for beauty. Through three selected works, Ronan Bouroullec shares his personal interpretation of our story and celebrates the three forms of life and energy that underscore so indelibly the creation of our wines:
