Fine old Burgundy. Deep red centre with a bright orange rim. There is a touch of Jerusalem artichoke greenness indicating only modest ripeness. The thickness of texture on the palate indicates a degree of chaptalisation. This is a modest wine with a slightly sweet finish. Drunk over dinner in Shanghai Tasted: October 2019.-Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy
Pale fox red (with lots of sediment in my glass actually). Burnt brown sugar on the nose. Some gaminess. Sweet and light and slightly – tarty. Green tannins on the finish. François Audouze loved this wine and found iodine on the nose. Although he admitted it was a bit less exciting on the palate. -Jancis Robinson
