The 2021 Chablis Grand Cru Valmur transcends the challenges of the vintage, unfurling in the glass with notes of orange oil, crisp green apple, peach, freshly baked bread and beeswax, followed by a full-bodied, satiny and layered palate of impressive depth and concentration. Racy and incisive, it concludes with a citrus blossom-inflected finish. These are always concentrated, textural wines that are some of the most characterful to be found in Chablis, and Moreau has overcome the challenges of the 2021 vintage to produce an excellent portfolio once again.
