Tasting note: Here too the expressive nose reflects a background hint of petrol on the cool, pure and airy aromas of pear and apple compote, citrus confit and a hint of rosemary oil. There is fine volume to the solidly concentrated medium weight flavors that manage to be seductive yet focused while displaying excellent length on the clean and dry finale. This youthfully austere effort is excellent for its level and recommended. Outstanding. Top Value.—Allen Meadows, Burghound

Picked 28th August. Excellent pure purple and fresh pinot on the nose, with a delicious juicy red fruit on the palate, with a beautifully suave finish and just a touch of acidity to complete it. 13.8% but not exaggerated. Good length too. Tasted: October 2021.—Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy

The first wine in this tasting that is noticeably reductive (struck match). Nicely so. Likewise on the palate, marked in that style but with enough fruit to hold the centre ground. Mealy, oaky, quite broad but the fresh acidity really holds the shape. –Julia Harding MW, Jancis Robinson
