There is a touch of reduction present but not so much as to completely mask the aromas of citrus and floral nuances. The intense, rich and relatively broad-shouldered flavors also possess plenty of palate coating sap that also buffers the moderately firm acid backbone on the persistent, balanced and slightly drier and more complex finale. - Burghound
Fresh but subdued aromas of pear, lime and wild herbs. Fine-grained and suave, with ripe acidity framing the pear, lemon and floral flavors. Finishes subtle and long, with a pear flavor accented by dusty minerality. Not too different in style from Niellon's Maltroie but with more obvious minerality and greater length. - Stephen Tanzer, Vinous Media
The 2014 Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru les Chaumees has a delicate nose that takes time to unfold in the glass. It never quite takes full flight, but there are attractive cold limestone and lemon peel scents to be discerned. The palate is very composed with a fine bead of acidity, gently unfolding towards the finish with hazelnut and dried honey notes. This has good potential and probably the best from the domaine this year. - Neal Martin, Wine Advocate
A creamy version, this displays lemon pound cake, apple and baking spice flavors. Turns leaner on the finish, revealing a taut, crisp profile. Drink now through 2021. 70 cases imported. Bruce Sanderson -The Wine Spectator
