The cabernet sauvignon character comes through nicely in this red, particularly on the palate, with currants, both red and black, as well as dried flowers and cedar. Some lead pencil as well. Medium body, with polish, finesse and beauty. Lovely length and grace. This is a move towards better balance and energy for Orma. One to watch. A blend of mostly merlot with cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc. Best after 2026, but already a very attractive young wine. - James Suckling
(IGT Toscana Rosso; 50% Merlot; 30% Cabernet Sauvignon; 20% Cabernet Franc; 14.5% alcohol). Impressive. Direct and expressive with a pleasing freshness and an attention-grabbing dark berry fruit-dominated aromatic profile. A touch of cedar. Nice concentration. Compact and well-framed by high quality fine-grained yet still granular tannins – the Cabernet Sauvignon doing much to circumscribe and rein in the structural parameters. A touch of leafiness with aeration brings additional freshness (from the Cabernet, once again). Maybe just a hint of dryness right at the end, but still very impressive and, really, this is just in need of a little time. A pleasing spiciness too marks its Tuscan origins. - Colin Hay, Drinks Business
This wine always brings the finesse, with a medium intensity jewel-like colour and a clear focus on red fruits, raspberry, cranberry, touch of salinity brought by its location close to the sea, layered with dried roses, cassis bud, orange peel, savoury white pepper and mint leaf. Good quality and a clear Tuscan interpretation of the Bordeaux grapes, making this a wine to seek out. One year in bottle after barrel ageing before release. Clay, gravel and sand soils, vineyard located just 15m above sea level, Moretti Cuseri family, first vintage 2005. Heavy bottle a little incongruous.-Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux
