This particular block selection is focused upon old-vine Pommard grapes, and the result is a layered and deeply focused wine that continually evolves once poured. It's a delicate explosion of textures and flavors, berry and cherry, wet stone, cola and caramel. The Bishop Block cuvée from the Durant Vineyard also hails from the Dundee Hills, but offers up a more brooding nose of wild red fruit, mossy undergrowth and smoke than Patricia Green's other Dundee Hills bottlings.
