Bright ruby. Expansive cherry and black raspberry scents are complemented by suggestions of pungent flowers, candied licorice and a hint of allspice. Fleshy, appealingly sweet and pliant in the mouth, offering intense dark berry, cherry compote, candied rose and sassafras flavors that slowly firm up on the back half. Picks up allspice and licorice nuances with air and finishes impressively long, with well-integrated tannins and lingering florality. All neutral oak. JR – Vinous Media
