Pillot's 2021 Chassagne-Montrachet Village is terrific, mingling notes of crisp stone fruit and pear with scents of iodine, smoke and reduction. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and vibrant, it's a characterful, rather old-school white Burgundy that will delight purists.—William Kelley, The Wine Advocate
Pretty pale lemon. A beautifully balanced bouquet more on the fruit and less reduction. Elegant charming and continues all the way through. Drink from 2024-2027. Tasted: November 2022.—Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy
Tasting note: Super-fresh aromas include those of rosemary oil, petrol, sliced pear and bright lemon-lime wisps. There is outstanding density to the utterly delicious and beautifully intense medium-bodied flavors that possess excellent cut and drive on the balanced, clean and decidedly dry finale. This could use better depth though more will almost certainly develop if given a chance, and overall, this is a terrific Chassagne villages. Highly recommended. Outstanding. Top Value. –Allen Meadows, Burghound
