Very pure aromas of black cherries and fresh flowers, such as roses. Dried orange peel as well. It’s medium-bodied with a fresh and solid core of fruit and ultra-fine tannin. From organically grown grapes. It’s so delicious to drink now. - James Suckling

This is the first time I notice a Riserva designation on this wine. The Petrolo 2019 Val d'Arno di Sopra Riserva Bòggina C reveals a dark and slightly evolved bouquet that builds upon the ripe and concentrated personality of this classic vintage. Dried cherry and blackcurrant are followed by toasted spice, tarry smoke and leather. The tannins are polished and smooth, and the wine strikes a generous, medium-bodied approach. A really distinctive nose here filled with floral and red fruit aromas. The palate is mouthwatering and plush at the same time giving ripe, chewy and generous fruit flavors but with a finessed touch.
