(from the north side of the village under Aux Bousselotes and closer to the booming downtown Nuits-Saint -Georges than to Vosne Romanee, there were some frost losses here owing to cold air flowing through la cosme): Bright medium ruby. Black- and red current, menthol, chocolate and black pepper on the rather cool nose. Concentrated, densely packed village wine with lovely violet lift and saline complexity to its dark berry and spice flavors. This is broader-shouldered and longer than the basic Nuits-Saint-Georges village wine, finishing with nicely buffered tannins and a sappy quality. –Stephen Tanzer, Vinous Media
