The 2009 Extra-Brut Millésime de Collection tasted from magnum, is fabulous. It captures all the natural radiance of the vintage, of course helped by the freshness of the big bottle. It is classic Gimonnet from start to finish. Citrus confit, white flowers, mint, apricot and lightly honeyed notes all build effortlessly. Rich and super-expressive, the 2009 is a total knock-out. The 2009 Champagne Millésime de Collection Brut is exotic, with some tropical floral tones of papaya and guava peel, as well as honeysuckle.
