The 2016 Réaut has a classy bouquet of graphite-infused black fruit. The palate is well defined, offering supple tannin, plenty of pure black cherry and raspberry fruit and a silky-smooth finish. This Côtes de Bordeaux comes recommended. - Neal Martin, Vinous Media
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2016 Reaut gives up warm black plums, crushed blackberries and cassis scents with hints of pencil lead, wild thyme, tar and smoked meats. Medium-bodied, the palate is packed with juicy black fruits and savory layers with a firm frame of grainy tannins and seamless freshness, finishing long. - Lisa Perrotti-Brown, Wine Advocate
I love the ripe blackcurrants, blueberries and delicate herbs in this wine. They enable it to carry the generous dry tannins very well and they drive the long finish. A blend of 58 per cent merlot, 37 per cent cabernet sauvignon and five per cent cabernet franc. Needs some time to resolve all the structure, so better from 2020. - James Suckling
From the Côtes de Bordeaux region, the 2016 Château Reaut has a plump, rounded, enjoyable style to go with plenty of black and blue fruits, some leafy, herbal notes, good acidity, and a clean, balanced finish. Drink it over the coming 5-7 years. - Jeb Dunnuck
This deliver a pretty and pure beam of cassis and bitter cherry fruit, with silky structure and floral lift through the finish. - Wine Spectator
