A step up over the Grenache Blanc, the 2013 Viognier (In the Rocks Vineyard) is one of the few Viognier’s from the New World to have real Condrieu-like character. It offers impressive notes of apricot, orange blossom, citrus and good minerality to go with a medium to full-bodied, ripe, textured, yet still elegant and lively profile on the palate. It will be even better in another six months to a year, and drink well for 2-3 after that.-JEb Dunnuck, The Wine Advocate
(13.8% alcohol; from vines planted in 2005): Bright yellow. Yellow peach and pineapple aromas are lifted by a floral topnote. Lovely precision and floral complexity to the strong fruit and mineral flavors. Finishes rich, firm, sappy and long, with clear minerality. - Stephen Tanzer, Vinous Media
