A medium-bodied red with depth and firmness, yet finesse of the area of St.-Emilion. Blackberry and crushed stone. Long and racy. - James Suckling
The 2021 Saint-Georges Côte Pavie is a fine effort, exhibiting notions of sweet berries and plums mingled with truffle and loamy soil. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and seamless, with powdery tannins and lively acids, it concludes with a saline finish. This blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc is fleshing out very attractively with élevage (with 30% new oak), combining charm and precision to persuasive effect. Tasted three times, twice at the estate. - William Kelley, Wine Advocate
The 2021 Saint Georges Cote Pavie is deep garnet-purple in color. It reveals notes of kirsch, black cherry compote, and boysenberries with wafts of underbrush and pencil shavings. Medium-bodied, the palate has impressive tension and ripe, rounded tannins supporting the delicate fruit, finishing with lovely vibrancy. - Lisa Perrotti-Brown, the Wine Inependent
