Tasting note: Touches of mineral reduction, citrus, rose petal and quinine add breadth to the mostly white orchard fruit aromas. Once again there is a really lovely texture to the refined and pure middle weight flavors that flash good minerality on the clean and dry finish. This needs to develop more depth but that shouldn't be a problem if allowed a few years first. Allen Meadows - Burghound
The 2019 Chablis 1er Cru Les Fôrets reveals notes of stone fruits, white flowers, honeycomb, oyster shell and green apple. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and charming, it's a layered, enveloping wine, concluding with a long, saline finish. William Kelley, The Wine Advocate
The 2019 Chablis Les Forêts 1er Cru has a Zen-like nose, very controlled and cool in style. It needs another 12–18 months for the aromatics to open. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, and more expressive than the nose, offering pretty apricot and dried orange peel notes. Quite tangy toward the finish, though it lacks persistence compared to Servin’s other cuvées.
