Tasting note: Slightly less evident wood easily allows the overtly floral nose of red and black cherry, violet, lavender and spice wisps to express itself. Once again there is ample minerality suffusing the beautifully textured medium weight flavors that culminate in a firm, serious and solidly complex and persistent finale. While this will also need a few years to round off the supporting tannins, 5 to 8 years should see it at its best. Outstanding – Top Value – Allen Meadows – Burghound

Hard limestone. Best terroir of the village of Marsannay but INAO missed it. Jean-Yves Bizot makes a wine from this site and serves it after his Vosnes. Dense and concentrated. Very ambitious and firm. Very long term. Very concentrated.
