Medium to full-bodied, ample and layered, it's concentrated and serious, with lively acids and a long, saline finish. The 2021 Marsannay Le Chapitre Rouge has a dark fruited, quite introspective bouquet at the moment. The palate is mediumbodied with crunchy black fruit, linear and backward with a graphite-tinged finish (a trait that Pataille mentions appears in this climat). -- Neal Martin, Vinous Media
