The 2015 Gevrey-Chambertin Village includes 60% whole bunch fruit and was matured in 60% new oak. It has a perfumed bouquet that is quite floral in style, black cherries and raspberry preserve, hints of violet developing in the glass that recede and offer orange blossom and even quince jelly aromas with time. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, crisp and lively, very elegant in style with great precision on the lightly spiced finish. There is so much joie-de-vivre in this village cru, one of the best that I have tasted at Sylvie's domaine. This comes recommended. Allen Meadows - Burghound
