(aged on its lees for 15 months in French oak barriques, 16 percent of them new) Pale gold. A highly complex bouquet evokes ripe citrus and orchard fruits, iodine, anise and white flowers, and a hint of smoky minerality emerges with air. Densely packed, penetrating and pure, offering palate-staining orange pith, pear skin, ginger and toasted brioche flavors that become livelier and spicier on the back half. Deeply concentrated yet lithe, finishing with impressive energy and very persistent floral and mineral flourishes. Josh Raynolds - Vinous Media
Sharp lime and pithy grapefruit notes accented by sour cream, chalk and limestone lead the nose of this wine from the pioneering Talley family. Nectarine, sea salt and Gravenstein apple flavors play on the palate, which strikes a happy balance between savory and tart, finishing with buttery depth.-Matt Kettmann, Wine Enthusiast
The 2014 Chardonnay Rosemary's Vineyard opens with gunflint and smoke to begin, fleshing out to citrus peel and white blossoms over a crunchy core of tree fruit. The palate is medium-bodied, crunchy, tensile and minerally with nutty touches and a long, saline finish.-Erin Brooks, The Wine Advocate
