A juicy and pretty red with plums and berries, together with hazelnuts and chocolate. Medium body. Creamy tannins and a delicious finish. Extremely well done for this. - James Suckling
Ripe and fleshy strawberries and red cherries on the nose, smells potent and rich and full. Bright and zingy, a tang to the red berry fruit with clear liquorice spice and clove setting in around the mouth helped by the fine but firm and grippy tannins giving a coating of crushed velvet powderiness. Juicy and succulent still, though the bite and tang takes centre stage and just restricts the finish a little. Good potential. Harvest 17 - 30 September. Ageing 18 months; 33% new barrels (25% 400L), 33% one wine, 33% two wine. Derenoncourt consultants. - Georgina Hindle, Decanter
The 2022 Château Teyssier should easily be outstanding, with lots of ripe black cherry, chocolate, and leafy herb notes in its medium to full-bodied, round, charming, delicious style. - Jeb Dunnuck
The 2022 Teyssier, 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, is deep garnet-purple in color. It comes bounding out of the glass with exuberant notes of stewed black and red cherries, redcurrant jelly, and fruitcake, plus wafts of dried roses and Chinese five spice. The medium to full-bodied palate is plush and spicy, jam packed with red and black berry layers, finishing long and peppery. pH 3.67. - Lisa Perrotti-Brown, Wine Independent
The 2022 Teyssier is soft, open-knit and easygoing, all of which make it a fine choice for drinking now and over the next handful of years. Crushed red berry fruit, spice and rose petal accents lend brightness to this midweight, charming Saint-Émilion. - Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media
