The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Curiositas from this estate comes all from Red Mountain (Quintessence Vineyard) and spent 18 months in 70% new French oak. Up-front crème de cassis, lavender, mountain scrub brush, tobacco, and ample gravelly minerality all define the bouquet, and it's rich, medium to full-bodied, and thrillingly textured on the palate.
