Gambero Rosso Tre Bicchieri 2024

Back in 1986 a new magazine focused on the food and wine of Italy made its debut: Gambero Rosso. And renowned wine writer “Doctor Wine” (Daniele Cernilli) created a way to honor the best wines from all 20 regions of Italy. Similar to the famed Michelin Guide, but instead of stars they decided that the highest honor would be 3 glasses, "Tre Bicchieri" in Italian. The thought was that you would get 6 glasses out of a bottle, and if you were willing to share a bottle and each have 3 glasses then it must be a great wine. And then 2 glasses and one glass being slightly less impressive, but still worth seeking out.

Every year Gambero Rosso awards Tre Bicchieri to a few hundred wines, from every region of Italy, and across all styles of wines; Reds, Whites, Rosato, Frizzante, Dolce, etc. We have a few bottles of reds that were just awarded Tre Bicchieri, from Tuscany, Piedmont and the Veneto.
