Readers will want to make a note of the 2016 Petite Syrah (Napa Valley), which is a blend of fruit from Rattlesnake Ridge, Turley Estate and Casa Nuestra. Inky and voluptuous, the 2016 is wonderfully open-knit and totally seductive. Creme de cassis, lavender, licorice and plum shape the unctuous, silky finish.
