The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville Reserve is softer and more upfront compared to the Black Label, offering a terrific perfume of cassis and black raspberry fruits supported by spicy oak and violets. It too is perfectly balanced, has full-bodied richness, and tons of character. Drink bottles anytime over the coming 15 years.-Jeb Dunnuck
Displays showy flavors of boysenberry, blackberry and black currant preserves that stretch out beautifully over a polished structure, while flashes of warm loam, ganache, sweet bay and violet swirl through. Offers all that, plus a sense of freshness through the flamboyant finish. Drink now through 2042. 2,300 cases made.-James Molesworth, Wine Spectator
The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville Reserve is fabulous. Once again, the Reserve is one of the most stellar wines in the range. Black cherry, plum, chocolate, spice, leather and mocha build nicely as this juicy, exuberant Cabernet shows off its alluring personality. This is one of the best Napa Valley Cabernets readers can find at this price point. Superb.-Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media
The 2021 Oakville Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is deep garnet-purple in color. Notes of blackberry preserves, blackcurrant pastilles, and candied violets pop from the glass, followed by hints of dark chocolate and star anise. The medium to full-bodied palate is soft, bright, and lively, finishing with pure black berry notes and a real skip in its step.-Lisa Perrotti-Brown, Wine Independent
Blended from the estate's Leopoldina (61%) and Fortuna (39%) vineyards, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville Reserve represents a solid value. Marked by scents of cassis, black cherries and loamy earth, with a hint of smoked meat, it's full-bodied, plush and velvety, If it lacks the extra concentration of the Black Label, it's still excellent stuff, featuring a long finish lined with softly dusty tannins.-Joe Czerwinski, The Wine Advocate
A firm and rich cabernet with dark berries, bark, dried leaves, cola and sweet spices on the nose following through to a full body with creamy tannins and texture. Lush and structured with a juicy core of blackberries and cherries at the finish with a spicy touch as well. Better after 2025.-James Suckling
