This is a wonderful young white with layers of fruit, such as fresh peaches and lemons and then some cream and stone. Full-bodied and layered. Only 4,000 bottles made.-James Suckling
Checking in as a blend of 50% Sauvignon Gris, 40% Sauvignon Blanc, and 10% Sémillon, the 2018 Valandraud Blanc is a powerful, medium to full-bodied white that somehow manages to stay incredibly pure, crisp and racy on the palate, with fabulous notes of white peach, crushed citrus, and brioche as well as an undeniable salty minerality. Hats off to the Thunevin team for fashioning such a terrific wine in this challenging vintage (speaking strictly in regard to the whites). It’s going to benefit from a year in bottle and keep for over a decade.-Jeb Dunnuck
The Valandraud 2018 Blanc comes sashaying out of the glass with beautiful orange blossoms, beeswax, crushed rocks and lime leaves scents over a core of green guava, pink grapefruit and yuzu. Medium to full-bodied, the palate bursts with citrus and tropical layers, with a satiny texture and fantastic tension, finishing long and mineral laced.-Lisa Perrotti-Brown, Wine Advocate
