From 22-year-old vines, the transparent but bright red 2022 Pinot Noir Justice Vineyard is highly aromatic with notes of crushed cranberries, grapefruit, cinnamon, and fresh herbs. Appealing and refined, it’s medium-bodied, with ripe acidity, structured, ripe tannins, and a long feel with more present mineral underpinnings. It has a fantastic texture and is a great wine with a mouthwatering finish. Drink 2025-2040. 150 cases were produced.-Audrey Frick, JebDunnuck

Sitting exposed on a ridgeline in the Eola-Amity appellation, the Justice Vineyard Pinot Noir is buffetted by the winds through the Van Duzer Corridor. These winds make Pinot Noir possible here, and their direct impact adds character and savoury depth to this bottling. Tingly aromatics of pine bough and piquant notes of blood orange introduce a wine of intense brilliance. Mint and dried wild herbs envelope wild green strawberries and tart wild currants. This wine has brilliance and a savoury edge and will undoubtedly transform beautifully over time.-Clive Pursehouse, Decanter

The 2022 Freedom Hill Pinot Noir comes from vines planted in 2001 in marine sedimentary soils. It was fermented with 5% whole clusters and matured for 15 months in 15% new barrels. It opens with dark rhubarb and cranberry tones and gives way to notes of flint, pipe tobacco, rooibos tea leaves and orange bitters. The palate is seamless yet powerful. Silky and fresh, its concentrated fruit floods the mouth, and spicy accents linger on the extended finish. It's a touch more youthfully coiled than the other 2022 Pinot Noirs from Walter Scott and will benefit from 3–5 years in the bottle. 300 cases were made.--Erin Brooks, The Wine Advocate
